Comfortable Queen. . .I'm not one, but I was just so comforted in grief unexpected. Positive: my walk from Amtrak's CLP very doable even in hot weather with right shoes. Downtown's narrow streets carry huge trucks not watching their speed, so take care; breakfast lavish & high quality Negative: Nothing it perfectly suited my short notice one-and-one half day funeral trip; and Steven even gave me a pass on his promised 1/2 day surcharge for early arrival (I notice); he was exceptionally cordial.

Historic stay Positive: The decoration and staff friendliness was amazing! Negative: I didn’t like that all doors have the same lock password. Each door should be numbered to avoid confusion.

Comfortable home away from home for your memorable getaway. Positive: Stephen was a wonderful host and has really paid attention to every detail that may be important to guests. The property was charming and beautifully maintained with many special artistic touches. We really enjoyed sitting in the garden in the evening. The beds were comfortable and the rooms spacious. Parking was not a problem and the home is close enough to ‘downtown’ Culpeper to walk to explore the boutiques, cafes, restaurants and bars. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property for a weekend getaway or even for use as a home base while exploring the surrounding area. Negative: I honestly cannot think of anything negative to say. The property is not a 5 star hotel but in my opinion this type of accommodation is better because it has character and the comforts of home. If you prefer the sterility of a hotel, don’t stay in this wonderful home away from home.

This was one of our best stays ever: clean, comfortable, well kept & centrally located. Positive: We liked the size of the carriage cottage. It was well stocked and well equipped. Having Stephen (owner) on site was great due to if we needed anything, he was able to help right away. Stephen also made great restaurant recommendations. Negative: Nothing!
